A Sip of California Summer

Yes girl, you read it right, it is still SUMMER.  So before summer officially ends, my girlfriends and I decided to say goodbye to city life for a night and drive to the coast of Laguna Beach- a premier coastal destination between Los Angeles & San Diego. It is just an hour something drive from LA to this local treasure of the Orange County.

It’s my first time to visit & it just amazed me how this little town offers so much beauty and character. The beach is a seven-mile stretch of sand & surf, picturesque rock formation, palm trees, countless art museums, fresh California cuisine, themed restaurants with a breath-taking view of sunset and a lot more. And oh, not to mention the little artsy corners that are a perfect fit for your Instagram feed and dramas. This lovely town has just so much to offer.

Day One. After an hour or so drive, with no breakfast before leaving, tummies are already calling our attention and silently screaming for FOOOOOD! Of course- food.

We found this warm restaurant located at the center of Laguna Beach named The Greeters Corner, a few steps away from the Main Beach.
This food stop is perfect if you’re on a budget at the same time wants to satisfy your buds. The food did not disappoint.

Time to check in. Few weeks before this getaway, we were already searching for a place to stay in overnight and we found this ‘nice-cozy’ place online- Crescent Bay Inn. Reviews are great, and so alright, clicked and booked. When we got there, we were laughing and so shocked how the place looks like on the outside. Shookt, bes. But as they always say, never ever judge a book by its cover. As soon as we entered our room, we realized that we were wrong. The place is actually nice, worth the $$$ that we spent. Newly renovated rooms, accommodating staff, (yes one-man job lol) and perfect location- just 3-minute walk to the beach.

BEACH, please. It was the weekend so as expected, the beach was packed. But who cares, no big deal. We were there for only TWO REASONS : 1) Enjoy the beach  2) Take good Instagram worthy pictures and so we found our ways to do both.

The calm before the storm. Just right before the big waves ate us and rolled like big stones on the sand. Laugh out loud.

Day Two. Wake up, sleepyhead. The alarm started ringing at 6:30am and finished preparing at 7:30am. If on day one we had two reasons, on day two we only had ONE & ONLY REASON and that was to take MORE PHOTOS. Blame it on the Instagram, honey. Yes, Instagram. We are all Certified Serial Instagrammer, 100%!!!!

Overjoyed thinking it’s still early and we have more time to take pictures before checking out.

Bubble bath beach edition. Excuse our puffy eyes, I told you, this was too early.

Good morning, beach.

Now, you might be wondering who took all the pictures huh? We did not have photographer or anything like that. It was actually a-three-legged thingy who saved us.

Oh wait, there’s more.

These pictures sum up our weekend getaway: FIERCE, VOGUE & FULL OF LAUGHTER.

Needless to say anything, pictures say it all! Fun is understatement. Thank you, Laguna Beach. It was indeed a hilarious weekend! We will definitely come back in a heartbeat.

CHEERS!
